- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, we like to start with a quick phone call to introduce ourselves, learn more about your pet, and go over exactly what you’re looking for. From there, we typically schedule a meet-and-greet so we can meet you and your pet in person, get to know their personality and routine, and go over any important instructions, medications, or special needs. We take the time to listen carefully to your preferences and make sure we understand everything before the first visit. We’re also happy to answer any questions you may have and provide references if needed. Our goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely comfortable and confident before we get started!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While we do not currently hold formal pet-care certifications, Alyssa received hands-on training through her previous work with a professional dog-walking company, where she cared for pets from over 100 families. This gave her extensive experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and energy levels. We are both comfortable caring for dogs and cats with different needs, including senior pets and pets requiring medications or extra attention. We also have knowledge of CPR for both dogs and cats and are confident handling unexpected situations. Most importantly, we have years of hands-on experience and take each pet’s safety, comfort, and individual routine very seriously.
