In September of 2021 I bought an apartment in Manhattan. At first look it was great, a prewar building, high floor, great views, beautiful molding and a giant original bathtub. Upon closer inspection though, not so goodlayers and layers of old paint making the door frames all bumpy and the walls look like they were crumbling. The bathtub was peeling and the fixtures were of such poor quality and badly installed making the bathroom grim and depressing.James Anh was recommended by my very picky mother. He had done some work on her Brooklyn brownstone and she was thrilled.Fast forward to 3 months after James and his crew came in and got to workI have beautiful walls and clean sharp edges and door frames. Everyone who walks in here asks about the paint job, its that nice. I have spectacular light wood floors (all Jamess vision, he said do it and do it now and he was right!). I have a huge, deep, sparkling white bathtub and bath fixtures that work as well as they look! Most importantly I have peace, peace that the work was done so well by someone who cared that it was done right, not for now but for always. Peace that if I need something in the future, and I will, I know just who to call. Absolutely the best service anyone could ask for! The amount of detail given to redo my basement and the personal touches to every corner has far exceeded my expectations! This contractor doesnt just come and fix or redo a certain space but they create comfort and efficiency to the space! I had one dream of how I wanted it to be done and the finished results was on whole other level! He maximized every space possible!The time given for the job was exactly as expected and there were no delays!The workers came and left my house everyday of work in pristine condition!I interviewed a few contractors and this one was by far the most reasonable and honest with their quote, no hidden fees or add-ons at the end of my bill!

James and his workers were professional, courteous, and always accommodating. We had our bathrooms redone while staying in the house which is hard with 2 kids. James and his team were always punctual and addressed any and all issues immediately. James himself either directly involved in the work or was at my residence everyday to discuss the agenda for the day. Any and all issues that arose during demolition or installation were always discussed and any fixes required were done immediately. I would and have recommended James to many of my neighbors who were looking to get work done for their homes. I will definitely use James and Rush Hour Construction for any future needs that may arise!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an initial consultation to understand the client’s goals, budget, and timeline. From there, we schedule a site visit, review drawings or existing conditions, and discuss design and construction options. After providing an estimate and project scope, we guide the client through scheduling, permits, material selections, and construction. Communication is very important to us, so we keep clients updated throughout the entire process.

Our experience comes from years of hands-on construction and project management experience in both residential and commercial projects. We work closely with architects, engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
