    Incredible trainer
    Peter is an awesome trainer. He is very knowledgeable as well as very well equipped. He pays great attention to your concerns about your body and health and draws out a workout routine accordingly. He's also very accommodating. I have had a few sessions with him already and the best part about his sessions are that each session is very different. We try new techniques and methods. He makes every session very interesting & fun. I am looking forward to the rest of my sessions :)

    Awesome Trainer!
    Pete is an awesome trainer! Been my trainer for over 6 months and he hasn't repeated a workout routine. Always coming up with new exercises based on your restrictions, activities that you actually like to do (kick boxing, weight lifting, spin, circuit training, etc), and most importantly your goals. Really takes the time to make sure your getting a great workout to achieve the results you want. Whatever your goals are Pete will help get you there!

    Very happy with Workout Anywhere. Petros is knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and not a clock watcher. You can work out in his basement gym or he will travel to you. A free training assessment was given to me as well.

    Peter, my personal trainer, is a stand up person with a great personality. He is very flexible with scheduling. He is also educated in dealing with clients with injury and medical issues. Besides his experience as a trainer, Peter has a background education in the health sciences and has worked as a PHysical Therapy assistant. Peter helped me get out of my cancer treatment slump and trained me with an injured shoulder. Over four months I lost 14 pounds and gained back the energy and strength I lost during chemo and radiation therapy. I am back in shape again and have Peter to thank for this. I come to his home to train where he has a very well equipt gym but he will also come to you to train you. He travels from eastern Long Island to queens. I am very pleased with my results so far and I really like Peter as a person. GO FOR IT!!!

    Peter is awesome!! He works really hard to find any way to motivate me and find different exercises to keep me moving. He is fun, he gives me dieting tips, and it is awesome to be able to work out doing different things other than only working out in the gym. For me, having the commitment not only to myself (which usually fails) but, to my trainer, keeps me working hard between sessions. He never gets disappointed even if i cheat a little .. he is always encouraging and pushes me to the max. Peter is really awesome!

    Workout Anywhere is GREAT!!! Peter has helped me achieve my goals and I couldn't be happier. I've always known I was doing some things wrong at the gym, and he showed me how to do everything properly. I like how he's very knowledgable about fitness, and always has the answer to any question I have. I could never have done this by myself, and with his help I've found that I really enjoy working out! Nothing beats seeing your body improve the way you want it to.

    This hard working guy has helped me to achieve my fitness goals. Just last year I was the heaviest I had ever been weighing in at 240 lbs and only being 5'7 was quiet large for my size. In just a year later I'm now down to 180lbs and maintains that weight quiet easily with the help of the magnificent trainer.

    For the longest time I have been an avid runner and managed to keep my weight down without a gym or trainer. After experiencing shin pain and neglecting my upper body I sought out a trainer. After a 'functional movement assessment' I was prescribed exercises to correct imbalances from chronic running and it has helped me alleviate my shin splints and increase my upper body strength which even relieved my carpal tunnel pains. BONUS: boxing workouts & yoga!!

    Thanks Anthony. Like you said, we've just started (which is the hardest part), but you're doing great! Keep it up and you will get what you put into it. I'll continue to keep the workouts fresh and as fun as possible (ie. boxing routines, power lifts, smash exercises etc) -- Sure beats watching tenths of a mile change slowly on a treadmill!

    Waking up at 6am is difficult and being energized is even more challenging. But Peter is able to keep me focused, engaged and enthusiastic with my 6am workouts and I leave feeling great and ready to tackle the day. He has listened to my workout goals and developed a personalized workout plan for me. I feel like I am working out more effectively than ever before and I can't wait to see the results (I am only a week in). I was impressed the first session when he said that it was a better use of his and my time if I did my cardio warm-up before he arrived so that I wasn't paying him to watch me run on a treadmill - I feel like that showed he respected that I was paying for training and he wanted to make sure I got my money's worth. Peter has also given me great advice about nutrition and workouts outside of my training sessions with him. I feel like he knows his stuff and will ensure I don't injure myself or strain anything while at the same time pushing myself beyond what I think I can do. I feel great and I'm very satisfied so far and would recommend him as a trainer to anyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $100+/hr depending on travel time/ & the time of day. If a client travels to our home studio in Woodbury we discount the session cost 10%.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with an initial phone call to discuss background, goals, objectives and ways to reach them. We then schedule our free consult/assessment session where we get to meet and take baseline strength, cardio, core and flexibility measurements to track progress objectively. These measurements help us write our exercise program exclusive to your needs. The measurements allow us to track progress objectively as mentioned, and to show the client where they currently stand compared to national averages for their age & gender. This information in accordance with our expertise are used to make SMART goals (Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic & Timely). In other words, we don't sugar coat it. We don't just specialize in one discipline. We are multifaceted and realistic to the person, their goals, timeframe and budget. If it means exercise on days off, we will point you in the right track with exercise selection at home as well as dietary advice. If it means yoga and range of motion before heavy lifting we will explain and work with you. We will track achievements, ensure progress objectively (not just via the scale), but also, body fat, and measurable data with your flexibility, strength, cardio-endurance, and range of motion (depending on goals, we will modify and continue striving for better numbers). Due to varying goals, from weight loss to weight gain, and the range of abilities that are unique to any one person our workouts are indeed custom tailored to the individual. These customizations include preference of equipment, exercise selection, and location of course (after all, we are named Workout Anywhere). Our evidence based practices ensure success, by requiring accountability to your trainer and more importantly to yourself. We like to empower our clients to "learn how to fish", so to say. Unlike many commercial gyms that keep you reliant on your trainer because you would not have access to their fancy machines or knowledge of why and what order to do what exercises. We begin our training with no long term obligation (financially or with location), and encourage you to try additional support systems on your own or through recommendation. Whatever the case, as unique as we all are, there is always a way to achieve these goals if we are consistent and keep in mind why we started to begin with. Our trainers will make sure to keep you healthy, safe, motivated and having fun along the way!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every two years minimum we take continuing education. I am currently attending grad school. I am part of several committees and attend conferences & expos regularly. I write for several online blogs, and in an effort to better train my clients I am always researching best practices.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began a career in Personal Training during college working for Equinox and later moving to the University of Pennsylvania. While getting my degree in Health Sciences from Drexel University, I had a passion of truly helping people; whether it was in helping others reach their ideal weight or fitness goals or helping them overcome an injury. Once my tenure at UPenn was over, I moved onto working in injury, post-op and sports rehabilitation at NY Rehab and then later for STARS (Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Services) at North Shore LIJ in East Meadow, NY. Through my various experiences I took note that many people found an excuse as to why they were not able to get to the gym, whether it was the time, the cost, or the inconvenience. I decided that working with this audience is what I wanted to pursue and with that I began "Workout Anywhere", helping to deliver the gym to people at a time and place that is convenient to them. Today, I have a plethora of clients who's needs range from weight loss to weight gain, to rehabilitation and marathon training. I have trained my clients anywhere ranging from my home gym, to their office, to the local park and beach. My clients enjoy my workouts not only because of the convenience of me bringing the gym to them, but also because of my dedication in ensuring that every workout has been created for them specifically.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Weight loss, health management, rehab, sports training, muscle gain, and diet/nutrition counseling. We like to use resistance bands, weights, Pilate balls, medicine balls, kettlebells, recoil bands, weights, sports & your own body weight to make workouts to tailor all needs. We have worked with elite athletes, stroke victims, diabetics, underweight/overweight, law enforcement, athletes and average joe's just looking to maintain health. We have worked out in parks, offices, homes, gyms, studios, (public & private) with couples/groups & individuals any where we can legally get a permit.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Winning best of Long Island 2017 was certainly an excellent achievement and recognition of our services backed by loyal friends, fans, clients, our community & families meant a lot! This past month Head Trainer/Owner Petros Arzoumanidis was Gym Source (a well-known fitness equipment store's) nationally featured trainer of May. We trained a celebrity for a movie this past year and worked with a few athletes, but the most rewarding, is always working with injury/rehab & special needs' clients that deserve more than a 'one weekend certified trainer'. ANYONE CAN DO IT!! Our quickest weight loss transformation this past year was 40+ pounds in 2 months.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You get what you pay for. Cheap training isn't good and good training isn't cheap. After all, it's your body; the only place you have to live in.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Customers should know level of education/experience their trainer has and how much time is spent preparing customized workouts specific to their needs. Our services are never cookie cut generic workouts, but are customized to help cater to each client's goals. Over the past ten years having worked in physical therapy clinics, UPenn & Equinox we have taken the best practices from each location to create a protocol providing the best level of service to every client each session.
