FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quotes are flat prices — the number I give you is what the job costs, with no hourly meter running and no surprise fees. Hardware is the only extra: if you need me to supply a mount, cables, or other parts, I'll tell you the exact cost up front before anything's purchased. I offer discounts for bundled work, like mounting multiple TVs or pairing a mount with a Wi-Fi or network fix in the same visit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I'll ask a few quick questions — for a TV mount, that's the TV size, wall type, and whether you have a mount already — so I show up with the right equipment and the price is confirmed before I arrive. On the day, I show up on time, protect the work area, do the install clean and level with cables managed, and connect and test everything. Before I leave, we walk through it together so you're happy with the result, and you can always reach me afterward if anything comes up.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained through Best Buy's Geek Squad home theater program, where I did professional TV mounting and A/V installations, and I earned the CompTIA Network+ certification. Since then I've worked as a fiber network technician across NYC buildings and as an infrastructure engineer at one of the world's largest internet exchanges. Today I work in the network operations center for a national internet backbone — so from the drill to the router, this is what I do professionally every day.
