I highly recommend Shur Law. The attorney I worked with was responsive, responsible & accomadating. She made the process of creating a Will & other legal documents an easy & comfortable experience.

I worked with attorney Jennifer Mullins with Shur Law and she represented me the way I wanted to be presented in my divorce case. She was highly responsive to my inquiries and didn’t leave me wondering what was going on in my case. Knowledge of the law mixed with compassion for me as a person was in every interaction I had with Jennifer. I felt that I truly had a team working with me as my entire life was changing. I highly recommend Jennifer, or anyone at Shur Law, as a great team. Jennifer understands that a divorce is very hard to endure as 2 spouses go their separate ways but there is still a version of family remaining when there are children involved. Her understanding of this makes her compassionate and pleasant to work with. The staff at Shur Law were polite on the phones, knowledgeable, and responded to me in a timely manner all which made a difficult situation better.

My parents were long over-due for estate planning and Tonya VanBenschoten made the process of explaining how a living trust and a will is created and executed extremely painless. Though having a living will and trust is something we should all do as soon as we are adults and have assets, my parents, like so many people, put it off for fear that it would be a cumbersome process. In light of the pandemic we are experiencing, having a living trust in place gives my parents some comfort if something unexpected occurs.
Tonya VanBenschoten is professional and her services made us realize that not only is the process fairly straight forward, but it lifted a huge psychological burden off my parents' shoulders--that of worrying about the future and the complication that can arise from probate, etc. Tonya has my highest recommendation for anyone in need of an estate planning attorney.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer flat fees on some services such as bankruptcies, dissolutions and estate planning.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first conduct an initial consultation. There is no charge for a phone consultation for a bankruptcy, however our domestic relations consults are $100 for half an hour. We then send a fee agreement and questionnaire. Once those are completed, we start working with you to resolve your legal issue.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a law degree from Chase and an undergraduate degree from WKU. I have been practicing law since 2012. I am currently licensed in three states: Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. I am a certified estate planner, master certified estate planner and completed the coursework for the accredited estate planner designation. I worked for the military for 20 years before retiring as a Major. At the time of retirement I was managing three judge advocates.
