Ginger-Snips Dog & Cat Grooming Spa

Introduction: I do one pet at a time. No crowds, no cages. A relaxed environment. All equipment from the bathing tub to the combs and brushes are cleaned and sanitized between clients. No cage dryers which can be extremely dangerous if the pets are left unsupervised. I attend a yearly Pet Grooming conference to keep updated on grooming issues. The pet's well being comes first. If a dog is severly matted and removing the mats would cause pain or discomfort to the dog I discuss it with the owner before shaving or any other process. I use only high quality shampoo and conditioners and never use product which might hurt a pet. I stick by my quoted price and if it takes longer or there are other issues will let the owner know how much it will increase on the next visit. Nail trimming between groomings are always free. It is more important to keep the nails at a length that is comfortable for the pet than to cut too short and chance the pet being hurt or bleeding. Absolutly love animals and have three cats and three dogs with another foster dog. I enjoy explaining to owners what they can do to keep their pet in good condition and happy. If I can get a dog who is afraid or aggressive over grooming to relax and not be afraid to come to the groomers I have done a good job. I also like to discuss diet and what foods are better for their pet to help them live longer with a high quality of life. I don't push any one type of food and don't insist on people buying food from me. They will get a better price from a pet supply place than I could offer.
