Always a two hour minimal for smaller jobs! The price we discussed for the hourly rate X2.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up with a unique situation my grandpa & my dad owned they’re own painting business in the Tri state , they did full remodels on homes even bought them fixed them up & resold them. It was great being apart of that & learning at such a young age!! I also had a step dad , ran his own flooring Buisness so I was taught to install many different flooring types & so much came along with that. Doing all of this while being 8-9 years old growing up till 17 that’s when I started getting my own customers , saved all my money bought my own tools & equipment & ever since this has been the one thing that has stuck & I’ve been devoted too !
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The project I am most fond of is actually a recent one back in 2021. A customer reached out to me letting me know that the yard is fully over grown. Flower beds, bushes & trees completely out of control the yard needed a triple cut, trimming hasn’t been done in forever. The husband was in & out of surgeries for knees & shoulder replacements. These customers needed all the help they could get so we did a total make over outside cleaned all the beds up , trimmed the trees & bushes planted flowers really just brightened the outside of they’re home up. The customers were so happy they lived in a nice neighborhood they’re home on the outside is back on track & the quality of work they received from the team & I made the ecstatic!! They asked if we were interested in all these outdoor projects ended up keeping us busy still till this day 9 months later we have been working for them on & off. We build them a 10x20 small deck in front of they’re Inground pool turned out everything they wanted , which then led to blocking off part of the yard with a chain link fence so the dogs could have they’re own private area & they can stop urinating all over the deck which was so bad it was completely dry rotted & was completely filth. This was just a basic 20 x 22 deck with steps going out in front of the in ground pool. Now they wanted us to build them a new one, a deck that cost $60,000 this one now has a roof , siding on the inside, soffit up top , two ceiling fans , patio furniture, hanging swings & the list just goes on & on. He had us use our heads & draw up the plans on how to make they’re back yard spectacular so this deck had steps dropping down to a landing, the left side led out to the private area for the dogs to do they’re Buisness & the right side steps drops down to they’re 10 x 20 Trex deck we built with the landing having a gate to keep the dogs from coming into the big side of the yard with all of the kids toys, pool , swing set ect. We are in so far with these customers, we consider each other family it’s the most wonderful experience a business owner can go through. This is everything we dream of ! To keep the Buisness going to have that special bond with customers, to give them that quality of work they are paying for. Now wait, there is more ! Now they want a whole new roof on they’re house because of the leak that was coming through the garage , so we do a shingle roof for them turns out great had to add more vintage was not breathing properly throughout the whole house. The customers have all this nice look going on outside they’re home & the last thing to brighten it up was to do all new siding , soffit & do all the trim in metal. They picked out the perfect colors to match with everything they’re home just brings joyfulness, we brought it alive & we made this stressful situation not so stressful!! We have plans coming in our near future on doing a 500’ privacy fence the one that’s currently up is old & needing replaced. We will be doing that this summer in 2022!! Our 2023 is still looking good for these wonderful devoted customers as they’re children are getting older & they will be having a son that will be driving very soon! The concrete hasn’t been done in years they want us to redo it & do an addition on it for extra parking for they’re kids. This is what it’s about, this is every company owners dream & we will keep striving to make this happen with each & every customer who we cross paths with. I will be uploading pictures of before & afters of they’re home & what we have done! Even better news we haven’t even spoken about the inside work we’ve done !! I’d say as a small Buisness owner this is the most fond project & the most wonderful experience I have had. This will be pretty hard to beat.
