- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My initial consultation is free of charge. My fees are discussed at this initial visit. Many of my services are based on a flat fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an initial contact, I like to: 1) Schedule an initial meeting with you at your residence; 2) If you go forward, we will discuss the information needed for an estate plan, and I will take down names, addresses, etc; 1) and 2) take about 2 hours 3) My paralegal will visit you to review the estate documents and obtain the necessary information to prepare the documentation to fund the estate plan; 3) Takes about an hour 4) I return for the formal signing and explanation of what you need to do to keep the estate plan functioning; This takes about an hour and a half 5) I have any deeds filed and will then return them to you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a practicing attorney since 1974. Estate Planning: I have been doing estate planning since 1989. Corporate-Business Law: I have been the "General Counsel" for an Internet Managed Services business for 12 years, during which I developed familiarity with Franchise Law. I have also represented for-profit corporations and non-profit start-ups from inception through tax-exempt status to operations. Are you a minister wishing to create your own congregation? I've done that! From start to finish - if you have your ordination, I can help you create your pulpit (physical). I also have 20+ years of full-time general practice, during which I developed a reputation as the go-to attorney for commercial collection work. I have been a Referee/Magistrate and college professor.
