Introduction

I've studied Algebra inside and out for 46 years - have found the most direct and easiest way to solve Algebra problems that makes it very simple and easy to remember without the book - even after 46 years! That's why 38 years ago I won the Best Algebra Tutor award at the University of Akron. Since Algebra is so easy and straight-forward with simple rules to apply and all that's needed is how to manipulate equations to find the value of the desired variable. To me it a lot of fun - like a game. If the student is ready all the basics of Algebra can be learned in several hours and then just practice putting the rules and manipulation strategies to work. It is very logical and objective. You can prove your answer to show that you solved it properly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have to take into account how far I'm driving - time and gas money (round trip) and time to tutor the student.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we must both determine if we are a good match for each other - tutor and tutee. Once we agree that we are a good match, then I determine their ability on the subject and find their strengths and weaknesses and make up a plan to go from where they are to excellence in the subject.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My High School mathematics included Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry. Then I tested out of preliminary math before college started. College math included Calculus I-V and Differential Equations on a quarterly basis. I tutored for five years and received an award for being one of the best math tutors while at Akron University under Sister Kathy.
