FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was in the right place at the right time. I was studying abroad in Russia, when a friend in a law firm asked if I wanted a job as a translator in the firm. I said yes, and have enjoyed it every minute since.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I translate a lot of vital statistics documents, such as birth certificates, for clients who need them for immigration purposes. For larger companies and firms, I translate a variety of legal and business documents.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Some translation companies take on projects and then outsource the work, which means that the end product is not always guaranteed to be of a high quality. Always make sure the person or company you hire to do the translation work is the one actually doing the work. This ensures a higher level of responsibility and accountability.
