I am starting up my own renovation business again, primarily focusing on tile backsplash and tubs/showers. After having been a superintendent of construction at a new home/remodeling company for the past year, I'm much more confident in my abilities as a contractor. With my knowledge and connections consisting of 50+ contractors, I'm sure I'd be able to help with any remodeling needs you have. My experience as a superintendent of construction had me supervising and coordinating numerous contractors, on as many as 20 houses at a time. The company I worked for had accumulated 80+ rental properties over 35 years, most of which they built themselves. The owners had gotten old and decided to liquidate their rentals. It was my responsibility to manage the remodeling of the rentals and to handle maintenance on the remaining rentals.

Jesse is just starting out, but I’ve got him on speed dial for carpentry work and installing lights (bonus know how). He is fair and honest and made the necessary runs to Home Depot which I appreciated. Totally made my scratched up staircase look brand new and tightened the banister!! She replaced 4 ceiling lights for me. I’ve had him out 3x now and will not hesitate to use again and again. Give him a call!

Jesse did two great jobs for us. The first was finishing a bathroom clothes chute door that we had no idea how to complete. And the second was finishing an above-the-stove microwave vent that another “professional” left incomplete. Both jobs were well done at a reasonable price. I will definitely call Jesse the next time I need some finish carpentry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My wife and I bought a house together and I started fixing it up myself. Made me realize I enjoyed that more than the job I had.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The cheapest contractor can end up being the most expensive when all the mistakes/cut corners need redone.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
As far as on Thumbtack, be accurate about the type of job but list the job as smaller than it is so we dont have to pay as much for the lead. Every person you select pays for the lead whether they're hired or not.
