I have been boarding with Mandy since the summer of 2011, and I absolutely love it there. I have boarded my horse at 5 barns located in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. I can say with certainty that Mandy has provided the most personalized care. I am a vet student and can't always make it out to check on my horse, but I know he is in trustworthy hands. She lets me now if anything is out of the ordinary and quick to answer me if I want a update. Additionally, she doesn't nickle and dime me like other facilities have in the past. She stores my trailer, gives meds, blankets, changes wraps, deworms, and is present for all my horses appointments all without additional fees! This is a quiet facility with under 15 horses. There is no trainer there, but I am sure you could bring one in. My only complaint is I wish it wasn't a 30 mi ute drive from my house, but I would not consider moving my horse. If you are looking for a competition barn with a trainer and a large social scene then this may not be a good fit. However, if you are looking for a well kept barn with plenty of turnout, quality indivualized care, and an owner that treats your horse like her own if not better then Tall Pines is it.
