FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have our own open accounts and competitively purchase directly from vendors with our negotiated buying power. We sell to our clients at retail (offering available discounts), just as all stores do and this is how we are generally compensated. Our LIVV Furnishings Collection includes many vetted, wonderful lines in all categories at good-better-best pricepoints! You pay for only the products you select and order. Our clients appreciate the value we offer because our extensive services are included to clients who purchase through us. It is our practice to request a rebatable retainer (toward purchases) from new clients who are excited and committed to work with us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do not typically charge a design fee, but may offer expanded $95 consultation-only up to 3 hours when traveling distances over 25 miles and/or for master planning services for larger projects. Our days, hours and rates are flexible and always client-driven. We have a comprehensive initial phone consultation and electronic exchange, then follow-up with F2F meeting (1.5 hours to up to 3 hours for larger projects) when we feel a mutually comfortable fit for those with project timelines up to 5 months. No two projects are alike; our process is flexible and provides for all project types. We share, discuss and may adapt relevant inspiration images and elements from both your ideas and our extensive portfolio following an evaluation including jointly developing a master budget outline and timeline.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BS in Interior Design and earned full NCIDQ certification becoming a Professional member of ASID (The American Society of Interior Designers) in 1979. We must fulfill ongoing educational training and CEU's (Continuing Education Units). I have exceeded the mandatory requirement, earning 20+ CEU's over the past 3 years. I have also earned the prestigious Certified Graphic Designer designation from my visualization software platform. I am also a proud 2018 International Dream Room competition winner for my Dark Kitchen Rescue project. I have also received our Directors and Positive Thinkers Awards.
