Introduction: I create a genuine, open, and funteacher student relationship, which allows for freedom to explore, question, and learn in unique ways. Students are free to experiment with their own ideas, and make their own discoveries, in addition to learning from examples, demonstrations, and explanations. Lorian is an outstanding teacher. Both kids have been taking piano lessons from her for several years and love it. She is patient, humorous, and understands what it takes to motivate the kids while still making it enjoyable for them. I highly recommend her.

Lorian has been giving lessons to my children for several years now, both at their school and at home. She is friendly, honest and tries her best to work with our hectic schedules. Our youngest daughter can be challenging and Lorian is patient but firm, which is consistent with how we deal with her ourselves. She has taken my first grader from having no concept of reading music to playing "Twinkle, twinkle" and "Yankee Doodle" in a few months! The only thing I might mention that others might find helpful is that she is a busy teacher and occasionally runs late. Not a big deal for our family, but it might be important to others.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is per minute, so that I can adjust the length of lesson tome to fit each individual student. This is particularly helpful for younger children : )
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial meeting to get to know a little bit about student, Family, and expectations... Followed by a trial period of lessons to see if it is a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15 years formal music training, along with degrees in fine arts, arts education, and art therapy.
