FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices for my repair work begin at $175.00. Full restorations (i.e. renewing the color and feel of older furniture) begin at $225.00. I live in Cincinnati but travel in a 30 mile radius, and there is a fee for extra mileage. I'm able to give fairly close estimates if the customer provides photos via email.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I receive a request, I'll contact you, and if possible, obtain a couple of photos of the damage, and the overall piece. Email is the best way to communicate. I'll then provide an estimate and we'll get a date set. I do furniture work on-site, with plenty of protection for the surrounding area. You can leave the piece right where it sits.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began my business in 1985, so I have considerable experience in the field of leather repairs and restoration. I have taken Mohawk Restoration classes in both leather and wood repairs. In the last several years, I have had great success with wood repairs. I am also able to work with decorative finishes (e.g. hand-painted furniture that has been damaged).
