Heartfelt Photography is a passion of mine. I love all aspects of photography from meeting the new clients to capturing their moments as they happen to presenting them with quality prints at an affordable price. I primarily get requests from my Facebook page but I do enjoy working with Thumbtack. I take great pride in my work and give my clients the same quality of work I’d expect hiring a photographer for my personal life. Glenna is very nice and easy to work with. She showed up on time and even set up cameras on the balcony for her husband to take photos from another angle. Some of my pictures turned out very well and she got them back to me in only a few weeks. She was also able to be my photographer with only about a month and a half notice. However, I chose to give three stars instead of five because many of the photos did not turn out well and were poorly edited. They were either arranged awkwardly, blurry, or had lighting issues. She also took very few photos of important moments in my reception because she sat in the hallway with her family most of the time even though I asked her not to. I am more than a little devastated by the photos of my wedding and I expected much better for the price I paid for them. Luckily I have a cousin who knows how to edit photos so maybe some of them can be fixed.

First of all, I take great pride in my photography and I work extremely hard to get the shots people want and produce quality images. I'm sorry you didn't like your pictures. I had asked you several times to contact me with any concerns or issues and I never heard back. I would have been more than happy to discuss it with you and adjust the pictures the way you wanted them. As for the pictures, I felt like I gave you a ton of shots. I quoted you $750 for 6 hours of photography time but only charged you $650. Since the reception ran over an hour more than expected you agreed to pay an additional $75 for that hour. So, I ended up doing 7 hours worth of pictures versus the 6 hours we had originally agreed to. While yes, I admit to staying out in the hallway during some of the reception this was only during the dinner time for your guests. There was not a place for me to sit in the reception area so I walked back and forth while I took pictures. I took pictures of the first dances, the guests dancing, the cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss, guests in the dinner line, the guests/bridal party eating, you talking to several guests, etc. I'm not exactly sure what else I could have taken at the reception that I didn't capture. During the group pictures at the ceremony location we took what we could while we waited for the rest of your bridal party to show up. We managed to make it work and eventually I was able to capture the entire bridal party along with family and friends. Again, I apologize that you didn't like the pictures and this review is the first I've heard of it. I would have appreciated it if you would have come to me to discuss this rather than telling me about it in a review. You didn't give me a chance to explain or correct any errors in the picture editing. As for what pictures I didn't capture at your reception, I'd love to hear what those were. My husband and I are very pleased with the wedding pictures Glenna took. The pictures were creative and beautiful. Glenna was on time and professional. She took her time and provided a good number of shots to help us remember our special day!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love getting to know them and learning things about them. Knowing a little bit about their life, their hobbies, how they met, and what they like to do helps with getting the right shots for their session.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been into photography. My first wedding was actually for a co-worker of mine. She was in need of a photography but didn't have a lot of money and I needed to start building my portfolio. I was able to provide great pictures for her big day and she was able to give me the experience I needed to move forward.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of customers. I've photographed families, couples, weddings for both heterosexual couples and lesbian couples, kids, babies, etc. I'm always open to building my customer base regardless of the client's race, beliefs, or background.
