Introduction: My name is Anastasia and I have been teaching partner dancing for over 10 years! I love inspiring my students to grow and learn new things that might initially be outside of their comfort zones. From passionate Latin styles - salsa, swing, and rumba - to classy ballroom - waltz and foxtrot - I can teach it all in a very simple and fun way. No partner or experience necessary, I will guide you in every step of the way (pun intended)! Anastasia is an amazing teacher! Super talented, friendly, patient, and her passion for dancing is contagious! I’ve caught the dancing bug and love my sessions. She also prepares you for social dances to show off your moves! Can’t wait to continue my lessons. If you’ve always wanted to start dancing, Anastasia is it!

I’m very happy I went with Anastasia for private dance lessons. Dancing has always been something that has intimidated me, so I was relieved to have an instructor that was professional, down to earth, and concerned with ensuring my comfort level was a priority along with the content of the lesson. She takes the unique characteristics of each student into account when determining her teaching methodology, moving at a pace that is appropriate for the student’s goals, and stretching their capabilities with just enough pressure to be conducive to a satisfying pace of progress to prepare them for larger events to showcase their dances. These dance lessons are not only an introduction and mastery of the various levels within the dances, but an immersion into the dance culture itself, complete with checkpoints like ballroom dance parties and milestones like Showcases. This provides long term goals for the students, which helps increase the pace of progress. And moving even further, there is the opportunity to take part in competitions once an adequate skill level is acquired. In about three months, I have learned the hustle, east coast swing, tango, foxtrot, and rumba to a point where I can dance them in a public setting with reasonable confidence in my abilities as a lead. There’s still so much to learn, as these dances have levels that take years to master, and I’m confident that if I stick with Anastasia, I’ll get better and better with time, beyond what I had imagined possible at the beginning of this journey. 10/10

She is an outstanding instructor and helped us figure out a perfect dance for the wedding! Within 1 hour we had a choreographed dance that was not too difficult even for a novice like me. She made us feel very comfortable at our level! I would highly recommend Anastasia!

Anastasia was fantastic. We were total novices and decided on a fairly complicated routine for our first wedding dance. Furthermore, we didn’t have much time, but Anastasia rose to the occasion. She clearly invested time outside of our sessions to prepare for them so that we could get the most out of each minute with her, making the value of these sessions top notch. She is very fun but focused, and we credit her with performing a wonderful dance for our wedding. We also had fun dancing the whole night because of the basic elements of dance she imparted to us. If you have the opportunity to work with her: take it!

My wife and I both had an interest in learning to dance. She nor I had ANY experience whatsoever. I would go as far as to say that I have “two left feet”. Anastasia was so good at communication and accommodating to our schedule. After a 45 minute first lesson, we had so much confidence! I couldn’t believe how much Anastasia was able to introduce us to in that time. If you have been thinking about trying dance, but haven’t taken that first step, call her.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
First introductory dance lesson is 45 minutes long and only $45. After the first lesson, you will have a period time to take an unlimited quantity of discounted lessons before the full lesson rate kicks in to see if we are a good fit for one another!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. I will contact you to set up your first dance lesson and we will decide together which location and time is the best fit for you. 2. First lesson - dress in whatever is comfortable for you to move in. If you have no or little prior dance experience, during the lesson I will show you some of the most popular current styles. If you have danced elsewhere before, we will talk through your goals and aspirations to develop a lesson plan that suits your needs. 3. At the end of the first lesson we can create a plan of action based on how the first lesson went. We will also go over all of the details regarding future lessons and scheduling in order to fit your budget, availability, and goals. It's as easy as that!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began training when I was 12 years old with a 4x national Latin champion. I am a licensed instructor in all 4 styles of Ballroom dancing. I also consistently train with the best and most qualified coaches in the industry to continue my own personal growth and education in order to be the best teacher for you.
