The process begins when a new customer contacts our family-owned business, and they are typically greeted by either myself (Nick, the owner) or Keli, my spouse. As a family-owned business, we treat each customer like part of the family, always striving to build long-lasting relationships based on trust and quality service. Once we connect, we take the time to discuss the customer’s specific carpet cleaning needs—whether it’s dealing with pet stains, high-traffic areas, or just routine cleaning. We make sure that SpotOFF is the right fit for the job, though we generally are. From there, we schedule an appointment based on the customer’s availability and goals. We understand life can get busy, so we’re always flexible when it comes to rescheduling appointments if necessary. Throughout the process, our customers can easily reach us via phone, text, or email for any questions or concerns. We ensure that communication is seamless every step of the way. On the scheduled appointment day, we arrive on time and prepared, using our multi-step cleaning process and truck-mounted steam cleaning equipment to provide the highest quality results. Our professional, superior equipment allows us to deeply clean carpets, effectively removing dirt, stains, and allergens. Afterward, we provide the customer with detailed feedback, including any heavily soiled areas that may need attention, and offer recommendations for future cleanings. We also share helpful tips to prolong the life of their carpets. If necessary, we suggest any additional products, such as odor neutralizers or carpet protectants, to address any specific concerns or enhance the overall cleanliness. We are committed to ensuring that our customers feel confident about their cleaning service and any next steps. Finally, we offer around-the-clock availability for any future questions or concerns that may come up before their next cleaning. To help keep our customers on track, we also send out reminder notifications when they’re approaching a six-month milestone for their next cleaning, making sure they’re always ready to maintain their carpets in the best condition possible. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am IICRC certified in odor control, which includes specialized training in cleaning and treating pet stains, urine stains, mold, mildew, and even smoke odors. This certification provides me with the expertise to tackle even the toughest odor challenges, including those caused by pets, and implement effective solutions to mitigate them. In addition to my odor control certification, I am also a certified Carpet Cleaning Technician through the IICRC. This certification qualifies me to handle all types of carpet materials and area rugs with precision, understanding their unique cleaning needs based on the manufacturing process of each. Whether it’s a delicate wool rug or a synthetic carpet, I know exactly how to treat it without causing damage. I’m also trained in cleaning upholstery, ensuring your furniture gets the same level of care as your carpets. One of my key areas of expertise is cleaning pet stains and removing pet odors. I understand how frustrating and persistent pet stains and odors can be, especially when they’ve soaked into the carpet padding or fibers. That’s why I use advanced enzymatic treatments specifically designed to neutralize pet urine odors at the source, rather than just masking them. My training allows me to deep clean pet stains and restore carpets and upholstery, leaving your home fresh and free of lingering smells. Before opening SpotOFF Carpet Cleaning, I was a lead technician and trainer for a major carpet cleaning company, where I gained hands-on experience in the field. Although I learned valuable skills there, I’ve since discovered that their cleaning methods were subpar compared to the high-quality, deep cleaning techniques I now use.
