FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For the 40 years I have been teaching, I have always found the convenience of giving the lessons in the student's home is something most parents appreciate and are willing to pay more for. That means I spend time on the road, use my gas, and take on car maintenance in order to fulfill the lesson arrangement with little or nothing asked from the client. As long as I can continue to do it, I will.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every student is a unique musician and artist. That is my approach. Right away I try to pull out the individuality of each and encourage self-expression, style, and artistic finesse.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my own private lessons around the age of 12. At age 15, I started teaching others. For 40 years now I have relished working with hundreds of individual students from age 4-80. I have truly seen just about every type of person, from very young, to children with Downs Syndrome, Autism, and other conditions, as well as senior folks who have an item on their "bucket list" to scratch off.
