What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken college courses in Business and the Hospitality field. Every day I am researching something wedding-related. I try to keep up with the current trends in the wedding industry. I attend shows, expos and seminars, when possible, to stay up to date in the industry. I like to give advice and suggestions to the prospective Bride and Groom. I also like to give them tips that will help them save money on their wedding and reception.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved weddings and events. I planned and organized my oldest daughter's wedding and also officiated the ceremony. I loved it so much that I decided this was something I would love to do on a daily basis!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I officiate weddings at the chosen location of engaged couples.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that the Officiant is licensed by the state in which your ceremony will take place. Work with an Officiant that wants your day to be special without pressuring you in to something you don't want.
