- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard prices for envelope addressing are as follows: Sets (inner & outer envelopes) are $3.00 each. Outer envelopes only are $2.50. Place cards are $1.00 each. Other day of the event items are priced individually. If it is lettering artwork, prices start at $75 and go up, depending on size and amount of lettering.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Please contact me and tell me a little about what kind of calligraphy you are looking for. If it's addressing envelopes I need to know approximately how many and a mailing date. If it is a piece of artwork, I'll need occasion, size, colors, and wording. I can then give you a quote and check my availability.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While there aren't traditional college classes in calligraphy, I do have a background in graphic design, I attend international calligraphy conferences, I take as many weekend workshops as I can, and have been an active member of my local calligraphy guild since 1992.
