- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is very simple for the customer. We come out to assess the job and develop a scope of work and provide a fixed price quote.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Prior to being a handyman, I watched some at work to see what was involved. I realized at that time how involved being a handyman was. The number of trades you had to know and the amount of skill you need. I was a contractor who knew my trade and hired other specialists who knew their trades but a handyman needs to know all and be proficient in many other skill sets.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ensure that a handyman service is truly a professional. Not the neighbor next door or the guy you met at the store. Although the handyman does not receive a diploma from your local university the knowledge and skill level required far surpasses many professions and cannot be taught in 4 years of classroom teaching but rather, requires many years of experience and on the job lessons. Think of all the trades and skills most handymen use every day to complete the multitude of projects inside and outside your home.
