I have decades of performing experience, formal training through the graduate level in music and education, and many years working with students of all ages and skill levels. Jeremy is a superb teacher. After five lessons with him, I am playing jazz chord melody arrangements that I never dreamed I could execute. Jeremy explains complex musical ideas in language I can understand. When we're working on a song I not only learn how to play it but also what makes the song tick, and how I can apply that knowledge to other situations. He is patient, has a great sense of humor, and seems to know exactly what I need to learn next. I appreciate that he allows me to progress at my own pace and offers multiple techniques for achieving a particular playing goal so that I can find the approach that works best for me. I come away from each lesson fired up with new ideas that I'm eager to bring to the fretboard. I highly recommend Jeremy to anyone looking for a guitar teacher. Whether you're a novice or an experienced player, he'll help you take your playing to the next level and he'll make your guitar journey a fun ride!

I just went to my first lesson with Jeremy! I couldn't be happier. I am someone that has always wanted to learn how to play guitar and warned him that I had never picked one up before. I have been playing the saxophone for over 20 years and have picked the guitar up a couple of years ago. I fumbled around with the instrument and tried to apply what I know of the sax to the guitar and have found myself obsessed with the world of new possibilities. I signed up for my first lesson with Jeremy and really liked his approach of listening to what interests me about playing the guitar. We talked about several new approaches to some ideas that I have gravitated to on my own and he has left me to try them out to see which path we should head down in the lessons to come. I like his way of relating the musical ideas through our conversation and am very much looking forward to our next lesson!

I was lucky enough to do a few lessons with Jeremy before my schedule got out of hand and I had to cancel.. Jeremy is very knowledgable about music, great at teaching and I learned more from the few lessons with him than I have in years of trying on my own. Highly recommend picking up lessons with this guy - no matter what level you're at.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing starts at about $25 per lesson, with 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons available. I discount lessons when several are paid for at once, and there are no extra fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have them describe their goals first, and then I assess their current skill level. From there I can start working on a plan to get them where they want to be. I tailor each student's lessons to match their musical tastes and preferences whenever possible, but I am always happy to introduce them to new musical ideas.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in music from the University of Akron (Bachelor of Music), and I finished all my coursework but not my thesis for a Master's degree in Music Education from Bowling Green State University. I have been teaching private lessons since 1993 and have a lot of experience with students of all levels.
