We had Extra Mile BBQ cater our 190 person wedding and I could not recommend them more. Pete was prompt, so easy to work with, and most importantly the food was amazing. People are still talking about it days later. I can't say enough good things about Extra Mile BBQ!

A fund raising lunch for our charity foundation. Pete was wonderful! He responded very quickly to all my questions. He arrived on time and well prepared. The food was "OUTSTANDING!!!" I can't say enough good things about him. If you are looking for great food, professional service at a great price this is the place! Thanks Pete! Extra Mile BBQ is awesome!

We had a first year block party. Pete was AWESOME. Very professional from start to finish. He arrived at the predetermined time. He had everything set up and ready to go. Everything about the food truck was very clean and organized. The food was so delicious. Three days later we are still getting compliments. Italian brisket, pulled chicken and pork, the aroma filled the neighborhood. The potato salad was out of this world!!! The whole neighborhood would HIGHLY recommend this company! When the event was over there wasn't a trace of him as he bagged the trash and swept up any debris. He cleaned everything he used. Which made it easy to entertain our guest. This company is in my opinion one of the best!!! We would definitely use them again! Im so grateful to extra mile BBQ, as the name says it all, They really do go the extra mile for everyone, and it shows.

The food is absolutely delicious!! Peter is also super easy to work with from everything to the menu to your budget. I would definitely recommend Extra Mile BBQ!

Peter was very comfortable and flexible working with our schedule before and during the wedding/reception. He was there on the property at the time he promised, set us was small but still very nice. His food was excellent and all our guests loved it as well. I have already been asked by guests for his contact information. When the meal portion of the reception was over, Peter asked how we wanted the extra food to be stored. I asked courteously to put a bit of everything in tin containers instead of separating everything. He was more than happy to oblige our final request. Definitely recommend Peter for any kind of event. He was very professional and the food didn't disappoint. Thank you Peter for a wonderful meal for our wedding reception!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I like to meet with a potential customer and let them sample some of the food that they are interested in. We then discuss details of the event and the logistics.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I started cooking when I was 9 years old when my mother died. My father taught me and my brother to cook so we could prepare meals for him during the summer as he ran a gas station/garage across the street from our house. I started cooking for partys where I worked and for friends. Eventually people started asking me to cater their party. Prior to Thumbtack all my business was word of mouth. I decided to get into competition BBQ in 2009 and formed Extra Mile BBQ in 2011.
