Subject: Preston Kruty: The Wizard Who Saved My Son’s Audition (and My Sanity) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you are a parent of a musician, you know the specific brand of terror that comes with "The Audition Recording." When my son decided to audition for a prestigious local youth orchestra, I initially thought, "I have a smartphone. I can do this!" I was wrong. My phone’s microphone managed to make a high-end violin sound like a squeaky screen door in a windstorm. It completely "flattened" the richness of the performance, and as someone who is—to put it lightly—not tech-savvy (I still treat my computer like a temperamental deity), I was way out of my depth. Enter Preston Kruty of Summit Event Media. The stakes were incredibly high because this was a RAW recording. For those who don't know, that means no filters, no "fixing it in post," and zero digital wizardry to hide mistakes. It had to be presented exactly as performed. Most videographers would have had a minor heart attack at the thought of releasing a "finished" product they weren't allowed to touch or tweak, fearing it wouldn't reflect their "brand." Preston, however, didn't blink. He was totally cool with the stringent limitations and understood exactly what we needed: Audio Integrity: He captured the warmth and nuance of the violin perfectly...as it was played. Visual Clarity: The video was crisp, professional, and looked like a million bucks without needing a single edit. Patience of a Saint: He dealt with my tech-anxiety and the pressure of the moment with total grace. The result? My son was SUCCESSFUL and was accepted into the orchestra! 🎻 Preston is highly skilled, incredibly accommodating, and just a great guy to work with. If he can make a raw, unedited recording sound this good, imagine what he can do when you actually let him use his full toolkit! We will definitely be using Summit Event Media for every video project moving forward.
