- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are a standard fee of $350 for home up to 4000 sq feet. I will discount the fee for homes that are small or condos. I will never add any additional cost to the quote, its unethical and unprofessional. I do FREE Re-Inspections for all my clients. If the sellers make any repairs I will return and inspect those repairs free of charge to ensure all work was done properly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will meet the client at the home they are buying or selling. I will go over the inspection process and answer any questions they might have at that time. A typical inspection takes 2-3 hours and is very detailed. I take pics of all defects and put them into a very detailed report, which the customer will receive the same day. I HIGHLY encourage the client to attend the inspection and follow me around. Ask as many questions as needed, this is an educational process for the customer. Beware of an inspector that does not want you to attend the inspection. The inspection will cover every aspect of the home. Roof, exterior, grounds, plumbing, electric, HVAC, structural, foundation, all interior room, and attic.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified in advanced home inspections. I am a licensed Wood Destroying Insect inspector in the state of Ohio. I am a licensed radon tester in the state of Ohio. I teach Radon licensing classes for the Dept. of Health in Ohio. I also teach Home inspector certification classes in Ohio.
