- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was in school for auto mechanics. I like to tinker, I like tools. While in school I was looking for a job to support myself and was fortunate to work for a great plumbing company that put me through the journeyman program. I quickly realized that was the job for me. While working as a plumber, I also did evening work for a couple local companies, doing maintenance. Changing light bulb and ballasts, paint, filter maintenance, furniture assembly, etc. The business grew from there.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Our jobs vary greatly. While we do have a maintenance program that streamlines preventative maintenance for our clients, we also handle service calls. We get called for all kinds of "honey do" list items. Replacing mailboxes, cleaning drains, building walls, fixing light fixtures. We are all over the place, it is great.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Know what you are getting. If you have a large project, understand what services are being provided. Everyone has an opinion on the best way to accomplish a task. There are typically 3 ways. 1. The way you can get by doing it 2. The Cadillac way it can be completed 3. The middle ground. I believe that a client should be presented with all of the options, with all of the positives and deficits so that they can make an informed decision,
