FAQs
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I did a basement rehab project for an real estate investor last summer. He was skeptical because my price was so much lower than 2 other contractors. I put him in touch with my references and showed him pics of work I had recently done. He hired me and we completed the job in 1 week, right on budget. He was so pleased that we have continued our relationship and I do a lot of work for him to this day.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find out about your contractor. Don't make your decision on cost alone, "you get what you pay for". Ask questions, get details, if cost is an issue, ask if there are things you can do to reduce the cost. Check references and trust them.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish their was shortcut to helping my customers understand that I am on their side, that I can be trusted. I understand that trust takes time to build, but it sure would save a lot of doubt and hesitation if every potential customer understood that I want what they want; the job done right at a price that's reasonable.
