- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
They’re typically higher than box retailers because those retailers pay for line items that aren’t presented to the customer. The extra money an installer typically makes is paid out from the markup/margin of the box retailer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Establish a relationship based on honesty that may or may not lead to the job, but will leave the customer in a better position to make an informed decision.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I think you just need to have a basic understanding of carpentry and the ability to figure things out.
