From out of state, we purchased a 110 yr old victorian in the short north 10 weeks prior to moving in...the plan was to complete several projects prior to move-in while the house was empty, including painting the entire house. This was a large job with every room requiring a different wall, ceiling, and wood trim color...including crown molding. After the first TWO friend referred painters flaked out, I went on Thumbtack and found Robert Erisman. After a couple of conversations with Robert, I crossed my fingers, gave him the lockbox code to my house, 15 different paint colors, and a lot of blind faith! Well, Robert was/is awesome! Not only did he work late into the night many times to complete the job before our furniture arrived, his attention to detail was incredible...several rooms were dark colors and required five coats(Sherwin Williams)! Robert made sure everything was PERFECT and did not charge more for the extra time it took. Furthermore, if meticulous painting is not enough, Robert also re-stained, blended, and top coated all of the natural wood wainscot, doors, and window sills that had faded or been damaged by pets...it looks INCREDIBLE! In summary, Robert Erisman is immensely trustworthy, diligent, thoughtful, and talented. On top of those hard to find qualities he is reasonable on price...how can you beat that?!

Robert did a fantastic job on painting the interior of our house so that we could list it for selling. He did a thorough and detailed job in a very timely manner and was able to troubleshoot and correct issues we had with our walls. We have referred him to several of our friends and family and can't wait to work with him again!

I hired them to paint my main floor ceilings, including hallways, up the stairs and the upstairs hall. They also did the ceilings and walls in the master bedroom and bath, which have vaulted ceilings and a skylight. I was having company for a graduation, and they worked hard to fit me in and have it completed. Courtney helped me choose colors for the bedroom & bathroom. She listened to what I liked, we chose a pillow for color inspiration, and she created an absolutely beautiful room! Not sure what you want? Don't waste your time at a store, hire her to lend expert advice. Her knowledge of color, coordinating colors and painting techniques is amazing. Courtney did almost all of the work. It was done efficiently with consideration for the flow in the house. We had some unexpected challenges involving other workers and she worked around it without pause. Her work was excellent, and she cleaned the room every night, leaving it better then when she came! I will recommend Erisman to everyone. Thank you Courtney and Robert, I LOVE my house again!

We hired Robert to paint most of the interior of our house. We are so glad we chose to go with Robert for this job. I found Robert on thumbtack and called him for a quote. He came within a few days for a quote. He went throughout the entire area for a precise quote and the price was very reasonable. We booked Robert for a specific time period and was able to solidify the start date as it approached. Robert showed up for the start date and worked until the job was done. Robert's wife, Courtney, also helped with the job and assisted us with picking the final colors. The work was done within the week and it was finished with precision and care. The pair cleaned up the work site each day and were respectful of the house. On a personal note, Robert and Courtney are both lovely, hard working painters that we enjoyed getting to know during the brief week they painted the interior of our house. Above all, they proved to be reliable - a trait hard to come by in these days! We highly recommend them.

    ask questions and be sure to understand the answers given. its easy to be confused about what being done and some contractors use that for their benefit. its easy for a professional to explain things in a way thats easy to understand

    Ask the step by step process to complete your project. Contractors offer lower cost and a fast process but cut a lot of corners and use cheap materials. A great professional will have no problem explaining the process in detail and be totally transparent when it comes to materials used and cost of those materials
