Introduction: My name is Z, owner of the Z Guitar Studio in Powell Ohio. I started performing music over 30 years ago, teaching and playing in Europe and in the US. You can learn electric and acoustic guitars, bass, mandolin, and ukulele on the lessons. I teach beginner to performance level students online using Zoom. Teens, adults, retired people, siblings, parents with children - everyone is welcome! I understand that we all have different goals in music, so I teach important skills to my students according to their goals in music. You can get a taste of learning and strumming chords, playing solos, composition, arranging, music theory, improvisation, ear training, reading, and chord progressions. We can can learn pop, rock, funk, folk, blues or jazz. I also prep students for college music major programs. No matter if you are a beginner or want to restart your studies, I will help you to discover the musician inside yourself.

Guitar Lessons

Z is a wonderful teacher. He takes the time to explain concepts and makes you as a student figure things out. While at times content of his lessons have been difficult, his ability to make you figure things out on your own with his guidance goes a long way towards retaining what he is teaching. His overall demeanor and knowledge of jazz are second to none. I would recommend in a heartbeat!
Z Guitar Studio's reply
Justin, I am always looking forward to your lessons. It is exciting to help you understand and explore advanced concepts and ideas in music and in jazz. Improvisation, chord solos, and jazz voicings are not light subjects to learn, but you are on the right track and I have no doubt that with that high level of enthusiasm and diligence you show week after week you'll reach your goals in music sooner than you'd think. Thank you very much for your review! See you next week - Z

Guitar Lessons

Definitely would recommend Z if you’re looking to get the next level at guitar. Crazy talented musician and is always flexible with lessons. He caterers to my hectic schedule and never complains about it either. Also give real and genuine feedback on my progress, which helps motivate me to get in the lad and practice.
