I first starting riding at 9 or 10 years old. I only rode about a year or two, but the amount of time I had per lesson didn't feel enough. Additionally, I think back then I wasn't picking up as quickly as I had with my lesson with Courtney. She first had me tack up her horse (Baby), continued to ask me questions to get to know more about my past riding and myself. At the start of the lesson, I showed up without stretching my muscles so part of the lesson had been focused on my abilities from past riding experience but also awakening my muscles. During the lesson we practiced sitting trot to prepare for post trot but I was unable to do much with sitting trot; my left leg had been dependent on putting weight on the outside of my foot which caused me pain when lifting off the saddle. Courtney noticed right away and adjusted to conditioning my leg for putting pressure on it. She was extremely helpful and walked me through everything with a detailed explanation. I'm extremely pleased with her barn and horses; I'm looking forward to my next lesson with Courtney at Hunters & Jumpers Equine Private Events.

Courtney is the ultimate professional, working with us to find date for evaluation for our potential 3yr old son/student to gauge his interest. It was one wonderful moment after another watching our son take instructions and respond, spending the whole time grinning ear to ear. Needless to say we bought a package and look forward to seeing his progress and bond with the pony grow.

I had been to Courtney's horse riding evaluation session for my daughter. It went really well. Courtney is a very patient instructor. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her evaluation session and can't wait to go back. The only drawback is that the place is a bit far from where I live and a bit pricey for me. Overall its a good experience and I would suggest to go for her lessons. - Bharati

Incredible! My first lesson was so much fun and so focused to my needs as someone who rode as a child but is just getting back into it. I'm a college student and they made payment easy and flexible for me which justified the price tenfold. Looking forward to working more here.
