- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price varies based upon age, demands, and other factors affecting the effort required. For young adults and teens the teaching charge is $70 for the first lesson and $50 for each lesson therafter with two lessons to be paid in advance. As to performance, this varies based upon the venue and job, number of musicians and vocalists, and the demands of the customer. The minimum charge for appearance whether on or two hours is $300. Three hours are $400. for a solo. Special pricing is available for assisted living, nursing homes, and homebound individuals.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Performance: I find out the style and type of music and instrumentation to determine it is a fit. I then work with the musicians and vocalists where that is required. I will sometimes consult with a play list, but that is not always required. Teaching: I evaluate for the level of ability, interest and goals. I provide the lessons based upon those criteria.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have eight years of classical training including classical theory, and four years of popular, jazz and popular theory. I have over thirty years of performance experience as a solo combo, small orchestra, both as lead and accompianist. I have helped individuals with their musical development throughout the years.
