Introduction: Hello, we are Cody and Cassie Bevington and we’re professional interior/exterior painters fairly new to Thumbtack. We are cheaper than a painting service having to pay a crew, with the quality of a high class paint job. We enjoy the process of revamping an exterior/interior space, in most cases adding thousands of dollars to the resale value. My husband is also a general contractor for the extra things you’re needing repaired or remodeled, and I’m an artist by trade, so murals/artwork are also an option! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing is based on several factors. Are the ceiling, trim, and doors being painted as well? Certain types of surfaces are more difficult for coverage, as well as heights and along stairs or above stairways. Will there be prep and moving of furniture needed? A lot goes into the pricing of a professional painting service but we typically try to stick to a rough estimate of $2 per square foot.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If the distance is fairly far to the job, we typically base the estimate off of square footage given by the customer and allotted time/ travel. We always cover floors and any furniture or countertops with plastic and/or drop cloths. We always start with a pre-coat and finish with a top-coat. Scent can be added to paint for an added bonus to a newly painted room.
