Felony or Misdemeanor
It’s free with no obligation to hire
Introduction: Because we are a small firm, we are much more accessible to our clients. My office line is forwarded to my cell, so I'm available to speak whenever. My biggest satisfaction comes when I help a client and they genuinely appreciate it. The look of "you just helped me with the most important / stressful thing I've ever had to deal with" is what it's all about.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Personal injury cases are done on a contingency fee basis. Otherwise most cases are done on a flat fee basis. Some cases less involved than others. For example, a DUI will require much more time (and has much more at stake) than a bankruptcy, so our bankruptcy fee is much lower than a DUI. On the other hand, some bankruptcies can have issues that are less complex than others, which will drive that fee even lower. It all depends on the case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Have a discussion over the phone to narrow the issues, then meet in person to have a more detailed conversation about what's going on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? After graduating from Warren G. Harding High School in 2003, I moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Fisher College of Business. During my time at OSU, I earned varsity letter recognition, Academic All Big-Ten Honors, and multiple Big Ten Championships as a long snapper for the Buckeyes under Coach Jim Tressel. After graduating from OSU, I received my Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School. While attending Capital, I worked for the Columbus City Prosecutor’s Office, as well as Capital University’s General Litigation Clinic. As an intake officer with the City Prosecutor’s Office, I gained valuable experience dealing with a wide variety of criminal misdemeanor complaints, charges, and offenses. I then worked for a small firm right after law school, where I gained a broad-based knowledge in various areas of civil litigation—including medical malpractice, worker’s compensation, improper employment termination, alleged violation of civil rights, contract litigation, business disputes, the creation of business entities, and landlord / tenant law. I then decided to live out my dream of being my own boss with Makridis Law Firm, LLC, where I handle criminal defense, OVI / DUI, traffic offenses, bankruptcy, social security disability, automobile accident, personal injury, workers' compensation, and employment cases.
