FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies greatly. There no right our wrong. Some charge by square foot. Jobs that require special services add costs. Some buildings are in need of much more effort. Id like to think I've been doing this long enough to do a walk through with a client, understand what needs there are and give an honest quote based on an hourly charge.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always looking for other cleaners. Reading reviews on different tools such as vacuum cleaners, etc.. I get books on ways to clean everything imaginable, different stains, odd surfaces. I'm also interested in homeade or non chemical cleaners. I'm also part of other janitorial groups on LinkefIn who have discussions on the "new and improved".
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't really decide to be a cleaner - I've always been one. Professionally I started helping a friend occasionally with her residential cleaning years ago. Its continued and become more diverse over the years.
