Cindy was amazing with our 5 kids. She worked hard to individualize each lesson for each student. She found pieces that interested my teen boys and kept them challenged and playing. She has such a love for the kids and a love for teaching piano.Aug 18, 2020
Lesson prices are a great value. Located close to our home. The studio is nice with a waiting area that is comfortable. She not only provides keyboard instruction but supplements with paper and pencil activities. She provided the girls with a notebook for homework. She does a great job of making lessons fun. The girls are now working on Halloween music. She is very encouraging during lessons. Highly recommended her studio!Sep 26, 2014Verified
Cindy is a patient and prepared piano teacher. She is willing to work to fit the needs of the student, while also encouraging them to grow and be challenged. She persevered through some learning challenges with one of my daughters, and I was delighted to see my daughter grow and make music! P.S. there were 5 options to choose from for what we liked about working with Cindy, and it only allowed me to choose 3. I would pick all 5, if possible. So add professionalism and punctuality too!Sep 8, 2020
I was able to play music which I enjoyed while still improving in my piano skills. I learned fundamental concepts that allowed me to play numerous songs for a variety of events!Aug 19, 2020
Doing piano with Cindy was a wonderful experience for me. I very much enjoyed playing the piano and I am glad that I learned to play itAug 19, 2020
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Online or in-studio lessons are both $15/30 minutes, $22/45 minutes. Lessons in your home range from $20-$40/30 minutes, depending on distance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? One method does not fit all, so I take into consideration the learning style of each student. I teach note reading at the appropriate time, utilize hands-on activities, and teach chords and theory. The focus is on technique and musicality. Though we use a method book, we are not limited strictly to it. I also have free printouts I share with the students.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have taught for 20 years, in a variety of cultures. My BMus is from The Cleveland Institute of Music, and MA in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University.
