What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always keeping my skills at expert level staying up on trends and any opportunity for further my education in my ever advancing profession. This is also required by the State Board of Cosmetology.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is really not complicated but I do offer services a la carte to bridal parties. At times the girls may only want their eyes done or lashes applied so I do have separate pricing available. There is a travel fee added to areas beyond 25 miles of the studio and will vary depending on the distance traveled. This is a single fee that can be split among the members of the bridal party.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew at a very young age that I wanted to work in the beauty industry. Visiting salons regularly with my mom and then on my own for services. I attended the local Trade School at the age of 16 I was able to get my license right out of high school and begin my career. I have never regretted my choice and love my work. It gives me personal satisfaction and allowed me to expand my business beyond what I ever imagined.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I think that whenever I have the opportunity to give back in some way by donating my services to someone in need who could not otherwise afford my services it is more fulfilling. I was recently able to be a part of granting a local girl her dream wedding. She was paralyzed trying to help someone escape a car accident just days after her engagement. I was honored to be a part of her big day and watch her take her first steps to walk down the isle in spite of the 1% chance she was given of ever walking again!!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to brides is to plan ahead. Don't wait to hire a Make Up Artist last. I have had to say no to many brides that waited. My services are sometimes booked up to a year in advance. At least put down a deposit to reserve your date. Make Up trial sessions are important also and should be done at least 3-4 months prior to the event to ensure that you get the look that you desire.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
To choose a Make-Up Artist you want to find out their level of experience. Are they experienced with Airbrush and do they offer trial sessions to preview your look.
I offer a guarantee with all of my services and keep my techniques at expert level. If a client is not satisfied I will work with them to give them the result they are looking for and in the rare case that I can't deliver the result there will be no charge or a refund.
Deposits are the only non-refundable fees as this is a choice to reserve my services for an event.
