Introduction: I use more material in my work than most other companies. All framing in my new houses and additions are on 16" centers including roof trusses. I like working with people and making new friends. I have been in this business for 42 years and most of my work comes from word of mouth, so it is important to build great relationships with my customers.

Marshall is building a lake house for us. With his input, we designed our house and he had it drawn up by one of his subcontractors. We had several meetings and revisions without any reservations. Once the house was designed, he handled all aspects of building the house thru his handpicked subcontractors. Before each phase of the project began, we would meet with Marshall and line out our choices and preferences. We could change our mind throughout as long as the next phase had not begun. We could even change at that point if we were willing to accept the expense. Marshall gave us a budget price, but all expense decisions were left to us because Marshall's approach to billing was to charge the subcontractor price plus 10 percent. We are happy with his work and would highly recommend his company.

Marshall McKinney, Best professional I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. If you do not hire him to do your work ,then you have missed out on a great contractor. He has the best workers under him, all of them professionals too. He stops by many times to check out the work his people have done and asked me several times if all was going the way I liked and the way we had talked about doing? I would hire him again. I feel I have a friend not a contractor. He even brought his wife a few times and she is great, she talked to my wife while Marshall and I looked over the progress. She is just as awesome as he is. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of my jobs are on a cost plus basis. I pass all my discounts and subcontractor prices on to my customer and i add 10% for a contractor fee. The savings in my pricing usually makes up for my contractor fee and this results in a cheaper price for my customers
What types of customers have you worked with?
I mostly build new homes and room additions. We also sell vinyl and aluminum fencing.We are a designated builder for the Veterans Administration and do a great number of new homes and additions for disabled Veterans.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am proud of all my jobs. one is no more important than the other. I strive to make all my customers happy. This is what has kept me in business for 42 years.
