I tune every piano like it's mine and I will be the one playing it. I always play the piano for several minutes when I am done tuning to ensure it WILL hold the tuning. This will also let me know when the NEXT tuning should be. May be sooner than 6 months in some cases. Piano manufacturers say every 6 months a piano should be tuned. Some do it FOUR times a year. I tune for a church that wants it done every 6 weeks! They make DVD's every Sunday and felt that if they were going to memorialize a service then EVERYTHING should be in tune! Yep! I get to meet so many interesting people in my line of work and that alone is gratifying. I really like seeing all of these churches, homes and schools that I would have never seen otherwise. I like that I am helping with music and its intrinsic value. By the way, if you have a dog I MUST visit! I love dogs! They are my favorite people!
