- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Seek a local, licensed agent with whom you are comfortable, and someone who has the expertise in the area(s) you need assistance. You will need to be open and frank in your discussions with your agent, so you need to be able to have a high level of trust with the advisor you choose, as well as a good working relationship. You will have questions and may need assistance with claims so a local agent will usually provide you with prompt and personal access.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?Insurance rates for individuals and small businesses are regulated by the State of Oklahoma and are not negotiable. Whether a plan is purchased direct from the carrier, online, or through an insurance agent, the premiums will be the same. Insurance agents are compensated by the carriers and are licensed and certified by the carriers and the states in which they operate. Clients are best served by using a local, licensed insurance agent who can help them select and explain the benefits and limitations of the plans available.
