I operate my piano tuning business on integrity and honesty! As a professional piano technician (not just a tuner) In 2001 I was trained by the number one piano technician and piano action rebuilder in the world, Richard E. Cowart of Picayune, Mississippi to diagnose any given situation that comes up with a piano issue and recommend a solution to repair the instrument on the first try. I'm not prideful but, I take a great deal of satisfaction in being able to help anyone who asks me questions about their beloved piano which usually they've given up hope on by the time I arrive on the scene! I HAVE BEGUN TO PRACTICE SAFETY PROCEDURES TO PROTECT MY SELF AND MY CLIENTS, SO WHEN I ASK YOU A FEW HEALTH AND TRAVEL RELATED COVID QUESTIONS, IT'S FOR OUR OWN GOOD! Meeting new people every day and getting the opportunity to help them in determining what we need to do to get their piano back in great shape! Mr. Jorgensen is so great. He arrives on time (or early!) and is very knowledgeable. My piano hadn’t been tuned in a very long time (Facebook marketplace find), and he informed me I would have to have a repeat tuning in a week or two for it to hold the tune. As he expected, much of the piano indeed needed retuning in just a couple weeks, which I would have never known. But he made sure to accommodate our schedule and came all the way to Tulsa despite not needing to be here! He is a very kind man, extremely affordable (especially for all the driving he does) and I am so thankful I found him!

Darwin was great. We had purchased a used piano about a year ago for our grandson, but our daughter never got it tuned. We found Darwin on line, and he was able to get to us within a few days. Unfortunately for us, the piano was unable to be tuned due to a cracked soundboard. Darwin was honest and showed us, as well as explained to us, the situation. He said he could tune the piano but said by the time he pulled out of the driveway it would be as though he never tuned it. We appreciate his honesty. Since then, we have purchased another piano for our grandson that came with a free tuning, but we will definitely be calling Darwin for future tunings.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I do have a price list that I use and if the customer would to have their piano tuned and or repaired I then share that information with them only.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I look over their piano and show them what looks good and make recommendations on what areas of the instrument that needs to be repaired. I try to treat each customer like I would like to be treated, honestly and fairly.
