About this pro

How does your service stand out?

Of course I went to school and you can learn a good deal, but the best massage therapists just have the knack. it's a gift. Some have it some don't. I pay great attention to detail and am very detail oriented when it comes to your massage. I take care of muscles you didn't even know you had.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I'm a touch person I love to touch and be touched whose profession has been in nursing. In fact it was in nursing school when I first learned of the many health benefits of massage. So I guess that is part of what drew me. I missed the loss of touch in much of today's technical health care. I love feeling the body relax and the joy on my clients faces when they not only feel better but function better.

Cynthia provided a 60+ minute massage for me. She was very professional and friendly, clearly interested in my needs as a client. She expertly provided deeper tissue work where I needed it and relaxing Swedish massage where I could afford to just enjoy it. The atmosphere is not as spa-like as some, not as quiet or darkened as I would have preferred. However, my main interest for this trip was a quality massage by an experienced and knowledgeable masseuse. These expectIons were definitely met and I plan to be a repeat customer .

I purchased a gift certificate for a friend and this is what she had to say about her experience with Cynthia... "She knew it was my first massage, so she went the extra mile to make sure I got the full ‘massage’ experience from head to toe. She wanted to work longer on my shoulder, but we just didn’t have time. I felt welcome and comfortable from the minute I walked in until I left and she answered any questions I had. I’m going to make it a regular occurrence." Thanks Cynthia for taking such good care of my friend. I would highly recommend Cynthia to anyone!

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All new clients must complete paper work ( like going to a new doctor). This is important so I know what you are expecting and what you need or if there are any health concerns that I need to make adjustments for. After I find out about them I show them the room and how things work and how I think I will conduct the service. I give them options they can accept or decline.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BSN at University of Washington Also Jenks Community Education Massage Program 2007. Completed level 1 NAT certification for Frozen Shoulder Syndrome..
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Priced for 30 minute increments: 30 min./$35.00, 60 min/$65.00, 90 min/ $95.00, 2hr/$125.00. We also have gift certificates, discounts and special packages around holidays. Our stone massages requrie an extra 15 min and disinfection of the stones used and cost $25.00 more.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients from teens to elderly, from healthy to those with a wide variety of medical conditions. I get referrals from medical doctors, chiropractors, alternative health care providers, mental health professionals as well as other clients friends and family.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Not all providers of massage therapy in Tulsa are licensed. Many businesses employ people off the street who are under the owner's training and they are not identified as such. Make sure you know the person providing your massage is licensed or that you are getting a discount for providing training hours for a respective massage therapist.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That we work by a code of ethics and we are true professionals and not involved in the sex & erotic trade. You can find good quality therapists by visiting ABMP or AMTA which are professional organizations for massage therapists. We are also part of the BBB and other therapists are as well. If you go to a website and it shows people dressed skimpily it's probably more about sex than massage.
