YOGA
Scientific in theory, artistic in application, and always accessible, yoga is a lifestyle for me.
My yoga teachings are grounded in Hatha and are influenced by Yin, Iyengar, and Ayurveda. My teachers include, Sandy Carmellini, H.S. Arun, and Yoga Medicine's Tiffany Cruikshank. When I work with students, my concern is that they are practicing safely and appropriately for their bodies. No two bodies are alike. I encourage students to traverse their physical and mental challenges with an open mind and heart by accepting them as a way to see more deeply into what the body and mind is saying. In doing so, yoga helps a person become more centered both on and off the mat.
I also have background in Ayurveda, having received my certificate from Laura Plumb. Ayurveda is a holistic approach to whole-person health. By working with clients to determine their doshas--or natural constitutions (physical, emotional, and physiological conditions)--I can help them create an individualized practice to support their unique health needs.
REIKI
Reiki, also known as universal life energy, is a gentle and therapeutic application that can relieve physical and mental stress and pain. It can be done as a solo treatment or can be used safely as a supplemental treatment with other modalities. I became a Reiki practitioner because Reiki brought me pain relief and centeredness and I wanted to share that with other people. My Reiki training came from Masters Amy Erez and Shelle Rae.
CHAKRA BALANCING
Chakra balancing sessions can be done during Reiki sessions or alone using crystals. It can also be incorporated into a class as part of the practice using breathwork and meditation to access the chakras.
