FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I charge about $.25 per square foot for carpet; $.50 per square foot for tile and grout; and $1 per square foot for grout sealing. I will usually round down as well so if it came to $107, I would quote $100. AND I am always up for negotiating! Many times, if there is more than one kind of job - like a fireplace mantel, a tile/grout floor in the bathroom and carpets, for example - I would give a much lower price rather than what it would cost to do individually (so it might work out to $540 for all three but I would charge $350 for example).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is key so I try to be as upfront about EVERYTHING as possible to ensure that we are on the same page each and every step of the way!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do have a BA degree from SPU but for this work, I have been trained and certified by TMT with both the equipment and the Eco-friendly chemicals that I use.
