I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and OPPA (Oregon Professional Photographers Association). I am currently furthering my education and pursuing a Professional Photographer Certification through NYIP. Photographers all have different "eyes". The way we interpret what we see in our photos are completely different. I try very hard to see what the client wants and help them achieve the photo they envision. When you are looking for a photographer, look through their portfolio and see if their "eye" is similar to your vision. I love to capture moments that are significant in a person's life. That is what I like about my job. When doing a session and talking with a client during the session I get to know the client and am able to pull out their personality through my photo's.

We did our son's first birthday party pictures with Cherie. The event took place in Beaverton city for more than hour. She was right on time. She captured the decoration and theme very nicely. She was patient with the kid to photograph him, even though he is fussy some times and was not concentrating. Quality of the work was excellent. She also gave us some additional pictures than agreed number upon special request. Even though the theme was 'Lighting McQueen', we didn't have enough lighting in the club house :). So many of the captured stills were dark. It is not her fault. Would certainly re-hire and also spread the good word about her in our Indian community.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing is $125 per hour. I like to provide a flat rate quote to new clients that gives them a discount though.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to do a consultation before the session. This can be via email, phone or in person. I use this time to ask pertinent questions that are needed for the upcoming session and answer questions from the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently studying with NYIP to get my Certification as a Professional Photographer.
