Shop around. Almost all engraving companies provide quotes instead of flat rates. And don't forget to ask about setup fees! Last but not least, make sure you see an example of their work on the same material that you are looking to have engraved. Just because someone engraves well on wood, doesn't mean they are good at engraving glass.
