Loved working with Calea (True Light Photography)! I needed a photographer to follow me around on a wedding I was designing to ensure my floral design was properly captured and nothing was missed. Calea was a doll to work with. She was punctual, very sweet and calm especially given the day the wedding landed on it was a very hot, 106! And, the whole wedding was outside yikes! My flowers were hanging on to dear life which was concerning because I was worried about how the flowers would photograph; however, upon seeing photos from the wedding I was very pleased. She captured exactly what I was looking for and the flowers looked beautiful in the photos. Needless to say I was so pleased I hired True Light Photography again to shoot another wedding I had but this time at the Bohemian Grove. I would definitely recommend using True Light Photography for your event, wedding or personal needs.

After having a family member take photos of our wedding 25 years ago, we decided that we wanted a professional to photograph our Vow Renewal. We looked through the portfolios of several wedding photographers and were captivated by the candid shots of the wedding parties, as they were clearly having a great time. We wanted someone to capture that same kind of magic at our event. Calea is everything you want in an event photographer. She was very communicative, listened compassionately to our story and our wishes, suggested posed photos after the event, offered to capture photos of friends and family who had recently announced their engagements, and delivered some marvelous photos. A guest described her as unobtrusive and called her a "ninja" for her ability to slip in, take a photo, and slip back through the crowd without a whisper before they could stiffen up and pose (which is what we wanted!). She delivered a couple of teaser photos to us shortly after the event to tide us over, and the full portfolio was, well, magical. What lovely memories she captured for us. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe everyone deserves a professional photographer experience. I am always open to working with individual budgets to make your vision come to life.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With each inquiry, a phone conversation is setup to go over ideas and details. If in the area we can always meet up in person. I always love a tea date! If it is a good match, we go from there! If a wedding is in the works of being planned, I go over a general timeline, I love to hear your story and we talk venue, etc. Throughout the whole process you can send photos of ideas you love and we collaborate on everything.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 7 years experience behind the lens professionally shooting. I have taken numerous courses with The Institute of Photography NY as well as mentoring behind the likes of Sierra Rose Photography and Anni Grahm.
