Introduction: Blue Turtle provides regular home checkups of homes left vacant by their owners. An empty home can easily become a target for vandals and thieves; and with no one there to notice and attend to things, small issues can escalate into expensive repair jobs. Our home checks are designed to catch signs of trouble before they escalate into expensive repair jobs. We offer weekly or bi-weekly visits at a fixed price to check on your home using a 20-point checklist. We will immediately attend to any obvious minor problems and observe and report on the general condition of your home following each visit. If we detect any major problems, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If repairs or maintenance is required, our concierge service is available to assistance with scheduling, meeting and supervising service personnel.

Crissy arranged a 6 month home sit for our unfurnished house. From the beginning she was excellent to work with. She found us wonderful house sitters and was absolutely meticulous and on task every step of the way. Initially I was slightly nervous about the idea of having strangers live in our home, but Crissy quickly reassured me and guided me through the selection and move in process. Once the house sitters were in place they more than proved their worth. We had a bad leak in our basement and some damage to our backyard due to a storm. Had the house sitters not been there we would have ended up with a lot of costly damage. Crissy also helped us several times through the BT Concierge service by supervising the installation of our washer/dryer and new blinds. In every way BT and Crissy went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Crissy repaired a small leak by caulking the window and provided invaluable advice in selecting a contractor to waterproof our basement. I have absolute trust in BT and Crissy to take care of our home during our absence and cannot sing her praises enough.

When we receive an inquiry, we will set up a free on site consultation to explain what the service includes, and does not include. If you sign a contract, we will provide complimentary guidance on things you can do before you leave to better protect your home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a homeowner, I worked as both designer and general contractor on three historic home renovations spanning twelve years.
