FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project is unique. Each property has it's own history and site specific challenges. We have standard rates for each labor category (field work, drafting, Professional Surveyor). We base our price off the research we perform (free of charge) on each property - and the level of effort we expect.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Provide us with the address (or parcel number) of the property to be surveyed. Please include details of what exactly you would like performed (ie, "I need my back lot line marked" or "I need to adjust the west boundary line" 2. We will perform research to understand the history of the subject property. Obtain relevant records and prepare a proposal. 3. We will provide a proposal and fee to perform the work requested. Please note any assumptions we make in our proposal. We can work together to revise the proposal/fee to make sure we are performing work to fit your exact needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
S&F Land Services has four Professionally Licensed Land Surveyors on staff (this is a professional credential that takes a minimum of 8 years experience and a series of notional/state testing). Our Licensed Surveyors are graduates with Bachelor of Science degrees in Geomatics (Land Surveying).
